AmCham in the Media - March 2021

As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances.   

On March 2, Ronald Blaško wrote a commentary in SME (print & online) about leadership, outlining that the country is not a company, but successful leaders are somewhat similar.
 
On March 2, teraz.sk and mzv.sk informed about meeting of AmCham representatives with Ingrid Brockova at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
 
On March 11, aktuality.sk informed about meeting of AmCham representatives with the Deputy Prime Minister for Legislation Stefan Holy and their discussion about the Construction Law.  
 
On March 11, Tatiana Prokopova, chair of the AmCham Real Estate Committee explained in TA3 why the business sector welcomes changes in construction legislation and is closely following the proposed amendments.
 
On March 12, several media informed that the Ministry of Justice received hundreds of comments on the law on judicial protection in public procurement, including suggestions by AmCham: fireport.sk, webnoviny.sk, 24hod.sk, financnik.sk
 
On March 15, Ronald Blasko in the Trend Barometer unveiled his preferred option for a vaccine against covid-19.

On March 16, economic analyst Tibor Lorincz explains in AmCham blog on spectator.sme.sk why he thinks some statements concerning vocational education can be proved wrong.

On March 17, finreport.sk informed about Slovak.AI in the article about the slow spreading of AI in Slovakia.
 
On March 23, several media informed about the BSCF 2020 survey on home-office standards in connection with availability of housing: ekonomika.pravda.sk, touchit.sk, banky.sk, webnoviny.sk.
 
On March 23, AmCham organized a webinar with the participation of the general professional public on the topic “EU Funds as a trigger for quality healthcare in Slovakia”. Several media informed about this topic: teraz.sk, lekari.sk, lekarne.sk, nextech.sk, euractiv.sk,

The discussion generated an analytical document with the key recommendations for the policy-makers which presents a joint position of experts and points out the most relevant areas that should be integral to any reform documents. Vladimír Mičieta, chairman of our Healthcare Committee explained in the media why AmCham is active in this topic in TA3 and TREND.

On March 30, AmCham organized an expert discussion on violence against women in cooperation with the private sector represented by IKEA to point out the need for targeted assistance and timely intervention by employers.
