AmCham in the Media - September 2020
As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances.
Slovakia Vision 2030
During
summer months, sixteen experts under AmCham auspices prepared a
proposal for Slovakia's Vision 2030 and outlined the key engines of
long-term sustainable economic growth. The document was subsequently
addressed to the President, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. The
initial press release on September 3 received significant media
attention: ekonomika.sme.sk, e.dennikn, edennikn, euractiv.sk, teraz.sk, pcrevue.sk
The
topic resonated throughout the month - Ronald Blaško and Ivan Mikloš
wrote about it in eDennikN (online, print) and the initiative also
resonated in articles in .týždeň (online, print), Pravda, and SME (online, print).
Vision 2030 was mentioned in several interviews with relevant signatories, including TV Markiza – Na telo (Ivan Mikloš), Rádio Expres (Ivan Mikloš), RTVS (Ivan Mikloš, Ronald Blaško), TREND (Ronald Blaško), e.dennikN (Ivan Mikloš) and e.dennikN (Štefan Rosina).
Women in Business Conference
The
event and its key message - that the current pandemic has brought even
more uncertainty to the workplace and worsened the employment position

BSCF Conference
The media coverage of the 6th annual BSCF conference included TV Markiza, Euractiv, Nextech, edennikn, Trend, teraz.sk, Dnes24.sk, The Slovak Spectator.
The press release emphasised that BSCs have demonstrated a high level
of flexibility and resilience to the external crisis during Covid19
pandemic.
Rule of Law
Michal
Krčméry prepares at the beginning of September an overview of the
business community’s efforts in improving the rule of law in Slovakia.
His article ‘Quo Vadis – Rule of Law Initiative?’ was published in the
Slovak Spectator (online, print).
Others
The
Slovak spectator prepared also the article saying that the pandemic has
changed plans of American investors, where Michal Krčméry commented on
the situation (online, print).
In the AmCham blog in the Slovak Spectator
Ľudmila Majlátová wrote an article taken from our Connection magazine
that despite the crisis there is a historic change for Slovakia.
On September 18 edennikn.sk
published the extended interview with Richard Panek commenting on the
results of the effort related to the initiative the Tax Manifesto
prepared by AmCham and other business associations and chambers.
On September 20, regional myzilina.sme.sk
published the article that the summer school of machine learning helps,
supports, and popularizes with new technologies. The partner of the
summer school is also Slovak.AI.
On September 21, Trend Barometer included quotes from of Ronald Blaško (online, print)
The magazine Break
published on September 3 an extended interview about artificial
intelligence with Martin Spano, which mention in positive way also the
activities of Slovak.AI.
