Science and research in Slovakia need more efficient and better management. It should be the government priority for the upcoming years.
It is the knowledge economy, new patents, and the resulting licenses, basic and applied research, or innovations that can become the driving force of Slovakia. In the long run, however, they are waging a struggle with the absence of a state science and innovation policy that would determine the direction of Slovak science and research, and its concept, strategic management, and vision are lacking.
