Small and Medium Enterprises play a crucial role in the Slovak economy, making up 99,9% of all business subjects and around 50% of GDP. Increasing levels of digitalization of SMEs is a necessary step for increasing the competitiveness of Slovakia. Recent challenges such as disruptions of global supply chains, rising energy prices, and inflation have lowered the number of enterprises currently undergoing digital transformation to 23% according to a recent survey by Trexima and Industry4UM.

To keep competitiveness in the local and global markets, SMEs need a clear understanding of their current digital capabilities and their needs to successfully navigate the journey of the digital transition.

At this event, we will highlight and introduce best practices of customized mentoring and advisory programs aimed at integrating digital technologies for SMEs and answer how we could collectively support SMEs in Europe with their digitalization journey.
