Martin Borkovič - With over 20 years of experience as a partner at Navigator Finance and later at ProRate, Martin has played a key role in numerous landmark M&A transactions across the CEE region. His expertise spans business development, turnaround management, and serving on multiple boards in sectors such as chemical production, real estate, healthcare, coatings, port and ship transportation, and mining. Earlier, he gained experience in financial markets and risk management, working in asset and liability management at ČSOB and forex at Slovenská kreditná banka. A startup enthusiast, he is also the co-founder of DEALock, a dealmaking platform. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Economics in Bratislava and attended the University of Bath for one term.
Jaroslav Dolný - Jaroslav Dolný is a partner at Origon Recovery Solutions. He has extensive experience handling insolvencies and restructuring and is a special insolvency practitioner registered in the special insolvency practitioners’ section of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic. He also serves currently as an associate professor at the Department of Commercial and Economic Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice.
Dano Gašpar - Daniel is responsible for managing and driving the strategic development of Crowdberry. He also focuses on growth capital investments and debt financing for small and medium-sized enterprises. He brought over 15 years of experience in industry, mergers and acquisitions, and investment banking to Crowdberry, having executed over twenty transactions totaling €1.7 billion. He has worked at the investment bank NIBC in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK, as well as at Kaufman Bros investment bank in New York, and at Daimler AG and BASF AG. In Slovakia, he co-founded the investment advisory firm EWAMCo.
Milan Hodás - Milan Hodás has been serving as the State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic since 2023. He has extensive experience as a lawyer, legal analyst, and state advisor in the field of legislation and constitutional law. At the ministry, he is responsible for the International Law Section, the Legislative Section, and the Publishing Activities Section. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Legislative Council of the Government of the Slovak Republic and a member of the editorial board of the professional journal Justičná revue. In addition, he lectures at the Department of Constitutional Law of the Faculty of Law of Comenius University, where he actively contributes to the education of future lawyers. He regularly publishes in professional journals and participates in both national and international conferences, also contributing with his expert lectures.
Martin Jacko - Martin specializes primarily in restructuring/insolvency, strategic advisory, crisis management, corporate acquisitions, and large-scale construction and infrastructure projects at national and international levels (including FIDIC contracts), as well as cybersecurity and international sanctions. He also serves as a bankruptcy and restructuring Trustee, and is an active member of the Council of the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic and the Board of the Slovak Compliance Circle, which he also represents in the Rule of Law initiative.
Zuzana Matejková - She is working in corporate banking area more than 20 years within Tatra banka group. I experienced corporate business, corporate credit risk management, leasing business and currently more than 10 years I am active as Director of Restructuring and Corporate Workout in Tatra banka. With my team we are engaged in helping coporate and SME customers of Tatra banka and Tatra leasing to cope with their financial problems with the aim prioritly to improve their financial health, stabilize and at the same time to protect the bank against high credit losses. My main focus is on restructuring of corporate loans, insolvency processes, late collection and management of non performing loans in the bank.
Radovan Pala - Radovan is the CEE Head of Restructuring & insolvency, leads our Business and Professional Services group in CEE and is the co-head of our Bratislava office. He is recognised as a go-to employment and corporate lawyer with more than 20 years of experience working with clients in the life sciences, manufacturing & industrial, private wealth, media & communications and technology sectors, amongst others. Apart from being a profound expert in all areas of Slovak employment law, Radovan has decades of experience across a variety of legal disciplines including in particular, Corporate/M&A & capital markets as well as Restructuring & insolvency. He was an active member of working groups at the Slovak Ministry of Justice that have prepared a number of important law amendments, including in the area of corporate and insolvency law. Together with PwC he worked on the project for the Slovak Ministry of Justice, called: “Supporting Slovakia to reform the framework for insolvency and restructuring and ”Digitalisation of Insolvency in Slovakia”, sponsored by EU-DG REFORM.
Peter Vetrák - Almost last 25 years dedicated to to claim collection and related issues, acting from different positions as Attorney at Law, Auctioneer, Advisor.
Radek Wejmelka - Radek has been practicing law since 2013 and has been a member of the Czech Bar Association since 2018. He specializes in commercial and civil law, particularly corporate law, transformations, and restructuring of business groups with a focus on risk diversification, establishing holding structures, and regulating relationships between shareholders. In the field of corporate law, he concentrates on corporate law for investment companies and investment funds and their operations in capital markets. Additionally, his practice focuses on advisory services for private clients and structuring private asset protection. In corporate law, he has participated in numerous corporate transformations, including companies with significant market shares within his specialization, and restructuring of national and international business groups. In private client advisory, Radek focuses on structuring private asset ownership and protection. His services include building private holdings, involving trusts, family foundations, and qualified investor funds. He also handles intergenerational capital transfers and provides consulting for family office management to ensure effective functioning of private structures. Beyond his legal practice, Radek is also active in publishing and lecturing, sharing his professional expertise with broader audiences.
