AmCham in the Media - April 2024

As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances.     

On April 25 and 26, various online media (HNonline, Trend.sk, Euractiv, Cas,sk, Nextech.sk, TASR, Radio Slovakia International) informed about AmCham's 'EmpowerHER: Honoring Women in IT' event. The main messages concerned the fact that Slovakia still lags behind the EU average when it comes to the proportion of women in the IT field, and that more girls and women need to be motivated and given the opportunity to study and work in the tech field.

On April 23, Various media (TouchIT, AkcneZeny, Euractiv, Nextech) informed about the Girl´s Day aimed to motivate more girls to study in the STEM fields. The press release quotes Igor Toth as AmCham representative about the need to include more women in tech teams.

On April 19, various media (TASR, HNonline, Teraz.sk) published a press release about AmCham's 'Beyond Green' conference, quoting Environment Minister Tomas Taraba about Slovakia's transition to a low-carbon economy.

On April 18, Numerous online media (Euractiv, Aktuality24, topspravy, AkcneZeny, Nextech) published AmCham's press release about the Beyond Green conference, quoting the most prominent guests, as well as the Chair of AmCham's ESG committee Erika Vitálošová.

On April 16, Dennik N published an article on the current developments in the shared services sector in Slovakia and the potential impact of AI on the employees of this sector, quoting Peter Rusiňák, AmCham's Deputy Director and BSCF Coordinator on several occasions.

On April 4, Trend published its regular Barometer opinion poll. Martina Slabejova, AmCham's Executive Director, was among the personalities who answered the question: "Do you expect AI to considerably impact your business?"
