In Košice, there will be a world quality brand in the international education of pupils aged 5 to 11. The private primary school (Košice International School) is included in the network of schools in the Slovak Republic and is authorized to teach as a candidate school International Baccalaureate® (IB) World School renowned Primary Years Program, which is used by more than 1780 schools in 109 countries. The official start date of the school is September 1, 2020.

Parents enroll their children in school continuously this summer. Parents can register future students via the online form on  KEIS website. The school will be located in the modern premises of the former primary school in Košická Nová Ves on Poľná 1.


It brings to the structure of education in the east of Slovakia an attractive choice for the local business community, which also employs a number of foreigners. The American Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic, which is actively striving to support the competitiveness of the business environment in the east of the country, has long sought to establish the school. The school will significantly complete the local ecosystem of services to support cosmopolitan life in the city.
