Citi Slovakia enters into an agreement with the Slovak Paralympic Committee to become a partner through 2021

As both organizations celebrate their 25 year anniversary, this partnership will support Citi’s mission to foster a more inclusive society and shine a spotlight on the Slovak Paralympic Movement.

As part of its commitment to diversity and inclusion and in honor of its 25-year anniversary of presence in Slovakia, Citi Slovakia today announces a partnership with the Slovak Paralympic Committee.

The agreement builds on Citi’s existing relationship with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and extends through 2021.

This mission-driven partnership will support Citi’s global efforts to raise awareness for the Paralympic Movement, support Para athletes, and help change perceptions of people with disabilities.

“For 25 years, Citi in Slovakia has supported programs focused on diversity and inclusion and we couldn’t be happier to work alongside an organization whose mission aligns with ours. We’re extremely proud to support the Slovak Paralympic committee. The extraordinary achievements, talent and determination of Slovak para athletes can inspire each of us.” said Veronika Špaňárová, CCO Citi in Slovakia.

Citi signed on to become an International Partner of the IPC in 2018. Along with its support of the IPC, Citi currently partners with 20 other National Paralympic Committees (NPCs): Australia, Bulgaria, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, and the UAE.

“We are honored to welcome Citi Slovakia to the Paralympic Movement,” said Ján Riapoš, CEO of the Slovak Paralympic Committee. “We look forward to working together to support our Para athletes and further awareness about Para sport.”

Citi - which is committed to supporting local communities, especially during the COVID-19 crisis - will help with the day-to-day needs of the Slovak Paralympic Committee through employee volunteerism and other activities.
