Depression - What are the costs for employers?

Employees, the most valuable value of many employers. But what if the employee is physically present at work but not spiritually?

According to the WHO, 322 million people worldwide suffer from depression. According to estimates, almost 350,000 people in Slovakia currently suffer from depression, and another, approximately 700,000, have symptoms that require help. Depression affects performance at work and can cause up to a 25 percent decrease in employee productivity. People with undiagnosed mental illness suffer for a long time and get to a specialist in about 1.7 years. This is one of the reasons why employers and professionals, in cooperation with the non-profit sector, have decided today to discuss mental health in the workplace.

This important topic was supported by several partners of Johnson & Johnson, s.r.o, Janssen division, Swiss Re Slovakia and Henkel Slovakia. The topic was also supported by content partners League for Mental Health, IPčko, No More Stigma and Seesame as well as media partners TASR, Rádio_FM and web portals diva.sk and najmama.sk.
