AmCham Slovakia fully supports this position and stands with American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) in opposing the imposition of US tariffs on EU imports of steel and aluminium. 

We believe that such measures will have far-reaching negative consequences on jobs, prosperity, and security on both sides of the Atlantic. EU plays a crucial role as America's strongest economic partner. Cooperation between the US and EU can help increase the competitiveness of both economies and strengthen their global standing.

At a time when global challenges require joint solutions, it is essential that the US and EU work together. Cooperation and partnership are the foundations of a strong Euro-Atlantic alliance, and only by strengthening these ties can we effectively address common issues and ensure long-term economic growth and stability. We urge both sides to prioritize dialogue and seek a negotiated resolution that avoids escalating trade tensions.
