SME Digital Skills for Future Success

Cybersecurity does have to be neither complicated nor expensive

The program “SME Digital Skills for Future Success”, implemented by AmCham Slovakia with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Bratislava throughout the year 2025, was designed as a series of workshops to strengthen the cybersecurity resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Slovakia as a key condition for their successful digital transformation. The workshop content was based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 and delivered by leading cybersecurity experts: Matej Spišák (Accenture), Michal Kosorín (Siemens Healthineers), and Martin Lohnert (Void).

Almost 80 representatives of SMEs from Prešov, Banská Bystrica, Nitra, Žilina, and Košice received hands-on guidance on tackling threats like ransomware, phishing, and email compromise – and learned how to build smarter, safer systems with limited budgets using cost-effective tools.

We proudly present the Practical Cybersecurity Guide for SMEs, packed with useful tips, links for available online tools and the latest updates from the Slovak Cybersecurity Act No. 69/2018. The content is inspired by the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 and enriched with real-life insights from top experts.

AmCham Slovakia expresses its gratitude for the support to the US Embassy Bratislava, content partners Accenture, Siemens Healthineers and Void. Special gratitude to the Cyber Security Competence and Certification Center of the Slovak Republic for the continuous content support.
