HR East: On a Knife's Edge - Rebooting Recruitment and Education for the Near Future

Are we facing a revolution or evolution in recruitment and education? This conference focuses on the profound changes we need to make to overcome the current status quo in HR. We will explore innovative approaches that help us adapt to a rapidly changing work environment and prepare for the near future of the labor market, not just in Eastern Slovakia.

Why not take advantage of the estimated 100,000 unemployed Roma from socially excluded localities who do not have jobs. We will present our strategy for inclusive recruitment in Eastern Slovakia, with an emphasis on developing the potential and talent of people from marginalised Roma communities and highlight the importance of tailored training programmes.

The discussion will look at the ways CEOs are influencing recruitment decisions, setting trends and adapting to a dynamically changing labour market. Last but not least, we will discuss how companies can secure a competitive advantage in this ever-changing environment.

We will also focus on innovative solutions that the World Bank is delivering with schools and their partners, and what effective collaboration between schools and companies can look like.

We will take on the transformation of education systems to better respond to the dynamics of today's labour market. Together, we will reflect on how demographic trends are impacting education, what potential marginalised groups or third-country workers hold, and where to find innovative inspiration.
