The United States presidential election is a pivotal event that shapes the nation's future and influences global politics. Held every four years, this election determines the President and Vice President of the United States. It involves a complex process of primaries, caucuses, and the Electoral College, reflecting the democratic values and diverse political landscape of the country. As candidates campaign across the nation, they address critical issues, propose policies, and engage with voters to earn their support. The outcome of the presidential election will impact domestic policies and will have far-reaching implications for international relations and global stability.

The two speakers, one Republican and one Democrat, will discuss what to expect in the U.S. national elections and how the results will impact U.S. policy vis-a-vis Europe and on key issues such as trade, climate change, foreign affairs, and economic policy.
