AmCham in the Media - May 2020

As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances.     

At the end of March, AmCham conducted a CEO Survey among its member companies and the key findings were shared with media on April 2. The survey informing that two-thirds of companies will not survive the summer without government help received significant media attention. 28 media outlets reported on the survey, including Hospodárske noviny, etrend.sk, dennikn.sk, ekonomika.sme.sk, startitup.sk, finreport.sk, webnoviny.sk, teraz.sk, tasr.sk, postoj.sk, spectator.sme.sk, finweb.hnonline.sk, The CEO survey was also part of the printed issue of the magazine TREND in the analytical commentary on March 9.


On April 7, webnoviny.sk portal informed about the activity of Slovak.AI, which cooperated in the development of the new prognostic model analyzing COVID-19 pandemic in Slovakia with the Institute of Health Politics (IZP).

On April 8, AmCham published a press release with focusing on measures necessary to mitigate the negative effects of the current crisis on shared service centers in Slovakia: aktuality.sk, pcrevue.sk, e.dennik.sk, ekonomika.sme.sk.

.týždeň weekly published in its printed and online version on April 13 an article written by Ronald Blasko. He presented a positive outlook in resolving the current economic crisis.

On April 14, magazine stavebnictvoabyvanie.sk published an article about home office culture referring to AmCham BSCF data about the shared services sector.

AmCham together with the leading entities in the field of digital agenda and innovation sent an open letter to the Deputy Prime Minister for Investment and informatization, Veronika Remišová. Several media, including aktuality.sk, ekonomika.sme.sk, teraz.sk, touchit.sk, omediach.sk, euractiv.sk, info.sk, dnes24.sk informed about the letter.

On April 22, e.dennikn.sk published an article written by Ronald Blaško about why we need to transform our economy into a knowledge economy capable of innovating and developing our own technologies. He summarized 10 ideas about what Slovakia needs for a successful Slovak innovation strategy.

On April 23&24, kosice.sk and kosice.dnes24.sk informed about the International School, which will be established in Košice Nová Ves as a new project with the support of AmCham.

Slovak.AI published the evaluation of the Government Program 2020-24 in terms of digital agenda on April 24. The statement of key representatives, as well as Gabriel Galgóci from AmCham, was published by teraz.sk and aktuality.sk. The interview with Mária Bieliková, Chair of the of Slovak.AI board, was also published on the portal aktuality.sk on April 27.
