AmCham in the Media - May 2026

As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances.    

On May 6, SITA published an article outlining the position and recommendations of AmCham Slovakia’s Health Care Committee regarding the importance and availability of innovative treatments and medicines in Slovak healthcare. The Committee emphasized the need for an effective and transparent evaluation system, as well as the importance of dialogue and cooperation among all relevant stakeholders.
 
On May 12, TREND.sk published an op-ed by AmCham Slovakia’s Policy Manager and Health Care Committee Coordinator Dominika Komárová, exploring how a healthier population contributes to long-term economic stability. In the article, she highlights the importance of data, prevention, and system efficiency as key pillars of a sustainable healthcare system.
 
On May 22, several online portals, including euBrief and Nextech, published coverage of AmCham Slovakia’s business breakfast focused on mandatory e-invoicing in Slovakia. The article featured comments by AmCham Slovakia’s Vice President of Finance and Chair of the Tax Committee Christiana Serugová, as well as Senior Policy Manager Andrea Brezanová, discussing how companies can best prepare for this significant upcoming change.
 
On May 25, SME.sk published an interview with Petr Brzezina, President of Westinghouse Czech Republic and Slovakia, in which he further elaborates on topics discussed during AmCham Slovakia’s Energy for Sustainable Business conference, where he participated as one of the panelists.
