AmCham in the Media - August 2022

As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances. 

On July 4, printed weekly Slovenka published the article “Business connects women“ mentioning AmCham Director Ronald Blasko as one of the invited guests of the conference.

On July 4, our press release expressing the support of a review of the constitutionality of the anti-inflation aid along with statements from AmCham’s Vice President Martin Magal, made a one of the headline news of evening News on RTVS. Several other media outlets published articles about it or published the press release itself: HN online, TASR, Trend, Zoznam.sk.

On July 8, our press release welcoming new investor Volvo to Valaliky near Kosice was published by several media outlets: SME, TASR, startitup.sk and featured Katarina Minova, our Policy Manager in Kosice, in the evening News of RTVS.

On July 15, AmCham’s Vice President Martin Magal was interviewed by Zuzana Kovacic Hanzelova about the Rule of Law Initiative and its support of the President's submission of Igor Matovič's financial aid package to the Constitutional Court. This is the first time AmCham’s Board of Director made appearance on the Rozhovory ZKH (Conversations of ZKH) show for the daily SME, and the episode was titled: “Attorney Magal: This government has easily got used to circumventing legislation.

On July 18, the interview with Martin Magal for Rozhovory ZKH (Conversations of ZKH) was transcribed and published as a written interview titled Attorney Magál: The Constitutional Court should take action if the law is adopted quickly.

On July 21, our press release “The Rule of Law initiative welcomes the recommendations of the European Commission’s Rule of Law Report for Slovakia” was adopted by several media outlets: TASR, SITA, Euractiv.

On July 23, online portal dennikn.sk published AmCham Director, Ronald Blasko’s commentary “The Last Man and the Brain Drain” about how to strengthen national identity and how brain drain and the priorities of young people may go hand in hand.

On July 25, online portal hnonline.sk published an interview with oncologist Stefan Korec, who mentions AmCham and our health care activities.
