AmCham in the Media - August 2024
As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances.
On August 2, The Slovak Spectator published an overview of trends of the Slovak labor market in the past year 2023, citing AmCham's statistics on the gender gap in IT and tech fields.
On August 8, The Slovak Spectator published a feature interview with AmCham's Executive Director Martina Slabejová, who shares her thoughts on the future of Slovakia’s business service centers sector, the impact of AI on the job market, or the challenges facing women in AI.
On August 11, Slovak Radio published a profile interview with Peter Rusiňák, AmCham's Deputy Director and Business Service Center Forum (BSCF) Coordinator, who shared his own experience living abroad, and talked in length about his passion for connecting business and academia, as well as his mission in the BSCF.
On August 14, the online portal startitup published an online test of digital skills. The text also mentions AmCham Slovakia's support for more women in the tech and IT fields.
On August 19, the online portal Odpady published an article criticizing the proposed amendment to the law on the deposit system for single-use beverage containers, also quoting the official position of AmCham Slovakia on this topic.

On August 28, the portal Košice online informed about the launch of Business Košice by the City Council, the first project of which will be Brainport Košice - designed to ease the settling in in Košice for foreigners. The idea for this project was born as one of the recommendations from AmCham's ongoing 'Mapping the Potential of Eastern Slovakia' project.
