AmCham in the Media - November 2025

As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances.  

On November 11, Nextech.sk published an interview with AmCham Slovakia’s HR Manager Júlia Jurčíková discussing how artificial intelligence will reshape the labor market and what this transformation means for both employers and employees.  

Between November 10 and 13, dozens of media outlets, including Hospodárske noviny, SME, Trend, TASR, SITA, ekonomickydennik.sk and parlamentnelisty.sk, reported on AmCham Slovakia joining the National Union of Employers (RÚZ) to strengthen the voice of the business community. Coverage included statements from AmCham President Martin Maštalír explaining the significance of this step. 

On November 25, the Rule of Law Initiative publicly expressed concerns about the government’s decision to abolish the Whistleblower Protection Office through an accelerated legislative procedure. The statement and its key arguments were covered by Trend, SITA, Euractiv.sk statement of the Initiative and its concerns were published by various media (Trend, SITA, Euractiv.sk) on November 25. 

On November 29, Trend published an interview with Thomas Madretiter, Director of Planning for the City of Vienna and a speaker at AmCham Slovakia’s ESG in Transition conference held on September 23. He reflects on his experience from the event and discusses several key themes explored during the conference, including climate ambitions, sustainable mobility, and the future of urban development.
