AmCham supports the call for solutions to return children back to school

More than 30 organizations with the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia have already signed up to the call ‘Dajme prednosť školám’ (Let's give preference to schools) for solutions to return children to school.

The call thus brings together organizations dedicated to children's education and development activities, addressing the impact on children's mental health, parents 'associations, students, and also employers' representatives. The call was signed by also by Klub 500, the Republican Union of Employers, and the IT Association of Slovakia.

We point out that every single day for every child counts and we must look for solutions to open schools and increase safety in them. They emphasize that closed schools have implications for the development of children's talents, skills, and knowledge.

"We support teachers, students, and students in returning to school. Returning to school should be linked to prioritizing teachers in vaccinations regardless of age. Quality education, especially during a pandemic, is in the interest of us all. Educating talents without compromising the quality of skills and knowledge and without affecting their mental health must be a priority for Slovakia so that we can ultimately succeed in international competition, " says Gabriel Galgóci, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia.
