Rule of Law: We are on the selection committee for the election of the new head of the Antimonopoly Office
We have some good news! The Rule of Law Initiative is on the selection
committee for the election of the chairman of the Antimonopoly Office of
the Slovak Republic. Peter Šťastný from Allen & Overy Bratislava
will represent the initiative.
The Initiative has long pointed to the importance of transparency in selection procedures to control and regulatory bodies, which are essential for the quality of the business environment and law enforcement.
In August, we prepared nine recommendations to increase the transparency of selection procedures. One of them was to create a "diverse selection committee" and we are happy to be part of it.
