Kaufland has become the first and only retail company in Slovakia to receive the gold-level Road to Zero Waste certification from TÜV SÜD Slovakia. This recognition, awarded under the DIN SPEC 91436 standard, highlights Kauflands commitment to waste reduction, with over 95 of its own waste now being successfully recycled or reused. 

The certification reflects years of effort in waste sorting, employee training, and innovative recycling methodsincluding a unique solution using insects to clean food-contaminated plastic films for recycling.
