In Košice, ultrasound devices will not only be developed, but also manufactured. Siemens Healthineers inaugurated its first plant in Europe there on Friday, December 9. It plans to start production in the first week of January 2023. 

The medical technology firm has moved its production from Asia to Košice. It expects to have a positive impact on employment in the region, mitigate the Slovak brain drain and reduce CO2 emissions.
