Čechová & Partners is proud to celebrate its 35th anniversary with major recognition from leading international legal directories, confirming its place among the top law firms in Slovakia.

The firm continued its tradition of strong performance in both Chambers Europe 2025 and The Legal 500 EMEA 2025. In this year's edition of The Legal 500, Čechová & Partners was ranked Tier 1 in Employment, strengthening its leading position in Slovak labor and employment law. For over three decades, the firm's employment team has been among the strongest on the Slovak market, consistently providing high-quality legal support to both domestic and international clients. The firm was also newly named a “Firm to Watch” in Projects and Energy and, for the first time, received rankings in all practice areas assessed in Slovakia, demonstrating its broad expertise.

In addition to its recent success in The Legal 500, Čechová & Partners continues to be recognized in Chambers Europe, where it has been ranked for 19 consecutive years. Several of its partners received individual recognition. Katarína Čechová remains the only Eminent Practitioner in Corporate/M&A, reflecting almost 20 years of top recognition. Tomáš Maretta is the only lawyer in Slovakia ranked Band 1 in Competition/Antitrust.

The firm also received special recognition in the field of Healthcare & Life Sciences. It was recently shortlisted for the LMG Life Sciences Awards 2025 in the Jurisdiction Awards category, with a designation of South East Firm of the Year—showing the firm’s growing international reputation in this specialized area.

Partners Tomáš Rybár, who also serves as AmCham Board member, and Marek Holka, who also serves as the Vice-President of Amcham’s Healthcare Committee, were also named among the world’s top lawyers in the Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal) Healthcare & Life Sciences 2025 report, further highlighting the firm’s global reach in this domain.
