AmCham Slovakia

AmCham Slovakia has been very actively engaged in the consulation process relating the ongoing recodification of the Civil Code. Our involvement included meetings with the Recodification Commission, participation in the public presentation, and consultations on draft comments.

Under the leadership of Miriam Galandová, we organized multiple online sessions of the AmCham Civil Code Task Force, coordinated closely with the Slovak Bar Association (SAK), and ensured our members’ active participation in SAK working groups to allow for broader expert discussion on the recodification.

We also held expert consultations within our task force to refine comments before submitting them to the Ministry of Justice. In total, AmCham presented over 190 comments.

This process does not end here – we remain committed to continuing open and constructive dialogue with the Ministry of Justice on the implications of the recodification on other related legislation as well as our businesses. Furthermore, we aim to share information and educate our members on these implications.
