The problem of shifting profits to countries with low tax rates has prompted the OECD and EU to introduce a new minimum taxation directive (Pillar II) which seeks to insert a floor on international tax competition and forestall a race to the bottom. These measures seek to combat multinationals obtaining advantages in respect of their overall tax rate via the structuring of their intragroup transactions.
New legislation will also impact Slovak companies which belong to multinational groups regulated by Pillar II directive. Upon implementation, businesses will need to ensure they have the knowledge, data and systems in place necessary to carry out reporting and compliance requirements which will be crucial for financial planning.
We would like to invite you to a business breakfast on this complex topic, where we will present an overview of what will be required to achieve compliance with Pillar Two.
