AmCham in the Media - March 2023

As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances.   

On February 1, several media outlets: TASR, Dennik N, hnonline.sk, etc. published the news of AmCham’s new executive director, Martina Slabejová based on our press release.

On February 3, online portal dennikn.sk published the article “Why are Google, Meta and others laying off when they are still making billions? Investors want higher profits“ quoting our colleague Peter Rusiňák about the lay-offs in IT sector in US and its potential consequences in Slovakia.

On February 10, both printed and online magazine tyzden.sk published the interview “The market has overtaken education – we have 45 000 employees, but this is not our ceiling” with AmCham President Gabriel Galgoci, about the BSCF, how Covid changed the way people work or the young generation and their sense of responsibility at work.

On February 14, several media outlets: Dennik N, noviny.sk; SITA published the news about our joint letter to the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic regarding the draft amendment to Act No. 235/2012 Coll. on the special levy on business in regulated sectors.

On February 17, online portal of the City of Trnava trnava.sk published the article “Trnava is an inspiration for Slovakia, says conference on learning cities” based on the conference “Learning cities” at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, prepared by AI Nova, mentioning our colleague Peter Rusiňák and his presentation about the skills of the future.

On February 22, online portal spectator.sme.sk published the interview Chatbots can take routine jobs, allowing BSC employees to do more sophisticated work with Ivan Tomko, Vice-Chair of Business Service Centers Forum (BSCF)

On February 27, Slovak Spectator prepared a printed monthly supplement on the topic of BSCF called Artificial Intelligence drives Slovak business centers, with several articles about the shared services and business services operating in Slovakia.
