Branding: why do we need it?

(by Patrik Tomeš)

Quite often we define ourselves not by who we are, but rather by who we aren´t. We struggle to stand out in a crowd, raising our voices to be heard in the din, dressing differently than the masses (fashion, jewelry, automobiles and gadgets are intrinsically woven into the pattern). We outline our unique personality by being at variance with other humans, by creating our own “brand names”. Thus World Champions, renowned scientists, inventors, Oscar and Pulitzer-prize winners, chiefs of states and governments are formed.

A Smart City – The Place People Love

Big data serving towns and villages

(by Patrik Tomeš)

We live in an information age. According to IBM, 90% of all data in the world has been generated over the last two years*, providing us with a vast knowledge base. How do we obtain meaningful information from this enormous pool? How do we sort, analyze and interpret it so we can benefit from it in our daily life?
