FACTS & FIGURES
Imagine a world where 85% of the jobs that will exist in 2030 haven’t been invented yet, and where automation will replace 800 million jobs across the world by 2030. Envision further, a future where over 70% of the global workforce will work remotely at least five days a month. These scenarios are not speculative, they are today's realities and tomorrow's inevitable challenges. As the pace of the Future of Work accelerates, the Festival of Future invites you to engage with the immediate impact of these developments on our societies, economies, and workplaces.
WHAT TO START WITH?
The future of work involves adapting to changing job landscapes, technological advancements, and evolving workplace dynamics. Organizations and individuals need to stay agile and prepare for these shifts as technology continues to evolve and companies are embracing digital transformation through designing adaptive and digitally fluent organizations.
Job growth is expected to be more concentrated in high-skill fields such as healthcare, science, technology, engineering, and math called STEM. On the other hand, middle- and low-skill jobs, like food service, production work, or office support roles, may decline. The gig economy and remote work will blur traditional job boundaries, leading to the rise of “grey-collar” workers who combine blue-collar and white-collar skills. Aging populations in many advanced economies will drive demand for nurses, home health aides, and hearing-aid technicians, and teachers and training instructors will most probably continue to find work over the coming decade.
Slovakia´s economy continues to rely on Business Centers as the third largest industry, apart from automotive and electrotechnical, in preserving overall employment levels and adhering to all commitments and liabilities companies have. To continuously climb up the ladder of value-added, the industry needs stronger and more targeted support from the Government and local municipalities. Continuous adaptation to digital transformation and commitment to diversity and inclusion demonstrates the sector's resilience and innovation.
