Implications of the Transaction Tax: What it Brings to the Business Environment?
Monday, Mar 24, 2025 From 09:00 to 11:00
Jurkovičova Tepláreň, Bottova 1, Bratislava
Business Breakfast
Slovakia proved to be an economy with a concrete strategy to improve the business climate and investment opportunities over time. Whether it was the reasonable cost of labor going hand in hand with the good productivity level, the later flat tax rate, state subsidies, or a skilled, educated workforce. Today, sector-wise, Slovakia stands on the main economic pillars, which are automotive, electrotechnical, and shared services, but also on small and medium enterprises that create the healthy backbone of any economy.
A financial transaction tax was introduced in Slovakia on January 1, 2025. Changes to the business environment raise questions about how effectively the Slovak business environment can operate on the market. Join us for a Business Breakfast with representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Financial Administration, and the Slovak Bank Association on the Financial Transaction Tax.
The discussion will be focused on:
- Questions and suggestions on the application practice of the Financial Transaction Tax
- Changes resulting from the amendment to the Financial Transaction Tax Act.
- Up-to-date information on upcoming legislative tax changes for 2025
Language: Slovak
Discussion will be followed by networking.
