AmCham Slovakia and the Carpathian Foundation cordially invite you to a working roundtable focused on employing individuals from marginalized Roma communities, particularly women who face multiple barriers when entering the labor market. Employers will have the opportunity to learn more about the employment of long-term unemployed individuals through a presentation from the Labor Office in Košice. This event continues with discussions based on the recommendations from the report "Mapping the Potential of Eastern Slovakia".

Program:

Case Study by VSE Holding (a member of the ZSE Group) -   VSE Holding will share their practical experience employing Roma women who are graduates of the Carpathian Foundation’s UPre ženy program in administrative and office positions. You will learn about:

• What motivated the company to get involved
• The internal challenges they had to overcome
• The impact of this cooperation on the women, the company, and their colleagues
•  How it influenced the perception of Roma women in the workplace
•  Whether the available support measures were seen as useful or not

Presentation by the Košice Office of Labor, Social Affairs, and Family

• This presentation will provide an overview of current tools and projects aimed at supporting the employment of long-term unemployed individuals, including active labor market measures. Representatives will also engage in discussion with participants about what employers need to make these tools more effective and accessible.
