This session is intended for HR and mobility professionals who need to build solid foundations, better navigate the immigration agenda, and prepare for the changes expected in the near future.
We will explain the basic principles of immigration processes when employing foreign nationals in Slovakia, so that you gain a clear overview of the available options, obligations, and procedures that HR teams deal with in practice.
We will focus on:
- basic types of residence permits, work permits, and registrations,
- employer and HR obligations at each stage of the process,
- the division of responsibilities between HR, recruitment, and business teams,
- differences between employing EU citizens and non-EU nationals,
- a comparison of national visas and the single permit – when to choose which process.
- common mistakes and misunderstandings
