AmCham in the Media - April 2020

As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances.   

On March 5, Ronald Blaško’s opinion on the results of parliamentary elections was selected for Trend Barometer.

On March 6, AmCham together with its partners in Slovak.AI presented practical manual for companies on how to implement artificial intelligence in their companies. In addition, key recommendations for the new Slovak government were presented in order to support research and development of artificial intelligence at a national level. Event was reported by RTVS Rádiožurnál , RTVS – Radio Slovak International and published in touchit.sk, euractiv.sk, teraz.sk, fireport.sk, pcrevue.sk, zive.aktuality.sk, webnoviny.sk, 24.hod.sk, ekonomickydennik.sk, bleskovespravy.sk etc.


In the following days, several other media also informed about the survey on artificial intelligence in Slovakia, created by Slovak.AI (touchit.sk, teraz.sk), lack of talents in AI (Hospodárske novinyteraz.sk, ekonomika.pravda.sk) AI potential in fighting corruption in Slovakia (teraz.sk, webnovinky.sk, parlamentnelisty.sk) and AI versus regulations and ethical questions (cas.sk, teraz.sk, openiazoch.zoznam.sk)


On March 8, magazine .týždeň Ronald Blaško’s opinion piece about the importance of visionary thinking in the heads of political leaders.

On March 8, DennikE/N quoted Gabriel Galgoci, president of AmCham, presenting key recommendations for the new Slovak government.

On March 8 (International Women’s Day) zenyvmeste.sk published an interview with Michele Mees, the international coach for diversity and balanced leadership. Michele was to be a keynote presenter at the AmCham’s Women in Business Conference which, unfortunately had to be postponed due to Covid19 pandemic.

On March 16, DennikN published a comprehensive interview with Gabriel Galgóci, president of AmCham & chairman of the AmCham BSCF about the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the shared service sector.

On March 17th, SME published (both online and in print) a joint statement of 15 business associations prepared by Michal Krčméry calling on the leaders of the new coalition to ensure competitiveness of the Slovak economy by adopting important reforms in rule of law, education and labor areas.

On March 27, SME published an article (both online and in print) from Ronald Blaško reflecting the rising Covid-19 pandemia and proposing 10 areas which will need significant reforms.

On March 26th, SME published a series of articles about Business services sector mentioning AmCham BSC Forum and its members on a variety of issues including: Automatisation, Need of Modern Labor Code, Lack of talents and The future of shared service centers worldwide.

During March 2020, The Slovak Spectator also added three articles from Connection magazine to AmCham blog written by Julian Gerhart, Simona Vašáková and Renata Hall.
