AmCham in the Media - November 2021

As we do every month, we would like to inform you about some of the most important AmCham media appearances.   

On October 1, portal nextech informed about the BSCF survey findings that the number of business centers' employees increased by 5.5 percent, especially in the area of IT services. The press release was published on the occasion of the 7th annual BSCF Conference. The coverage with detailed infographics was published also by the Slovak Spectator on October 4. 

On October 4, portal trend.sk, the media partner of the 7th annual BSCF Conference, published an article reporting the challenges of hybrid work models. Several representatives of companies like Henkel, Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions or Dell Technologies were quoted.

On October 5, portal trend.sk focused on another challenging topic for the shared services industry - employment of experts from third countries. If a company wants to employ foreigner from a third country, it basically does not know for months whether the expert will finally get the work permit. An article based on the presentation of Zuzana Vatralova, Head of IOM office, with the BSCF Chair Gabriel Galgoci.

On October 14, Trend.sk was the media partner also for the Innovation Conference and was streaming the whole day event from 9:15 AM until 5:00 PM. The main focus of the conference was the urgency to embrace new innovative tools and technologies in the Slovak healthcare sector. 

Portals nextech.sk and euractiv.sk published the press release Slovakia needs to have more innovations in healthcare as innovation is driving healthcare transformation to improve patient care, reduce costs and make the work environment more attractive to doctors and healthcare professionals.  

Portal zdravoteka.sk also published the press release from SITA informing about the Innovation Conference and quoted both state secretaries, who participated on the conference.

On October 18, Ronald Blaško joined the TREND BAROMETER #42 answering the question of how should the government approach budgeting for 2022.

On October 20, Ronald Blaško wrote about his observations related to expats in Slovakia. The commentary was published in SME daily (online and print). Thanks to his work, Ronald Blaško has the opportunity to meet many foreigners living and working for a long time in our country in various top positions in branches of foreign and domestic companies.

On October 26, the Slovak Spectator re-published the article originally published in AmCham Connection Magazine written by Martina Kolesárová on philanthropy. She describes the current trends reshaping philanthropy with the aim of delivering meaningful solutions with a lasting impact.

On October 27, Trenčianske noviny informed about the expansion of Danfoss Považská Bystrica in the region. The article writes about the industry of business service centers stating also the annual BSCF survey report.

On October 29, topky.sk published a survey on the upcoming climate conference COP26 in Glasgow and how the results affect our work. Kristina Gotthardová spoke on behalf of AmCham.
