Recovery and Resilience Facility of the Slovak Republic – your comments are welcome!

The Recovery and Resilience Facility is the key instrument at the heart of NextGenerationEU to help the EU emerge stronger and more resilient from the current crisis. The European Union will make €672.5 billion in loans and grants available to support reforms and investments undertaken by Member States.

The aim is to mitigate the economic and social impact of the coronavirus pandemic and make European economies and societies more sustainable, resilient and better prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the green and digital transitions.

Slovakia, alongside other 26 Member States, is expected to prepare recovery and resilience plans setting out a coherent package of reforms and public investment projects. To benefit from the support of the Facility, these reforms and investments should be implemented by 2026. In case of Slovakia, loans and grants of the total sum of approx. 6 billion euro will be available as part of plans that should also include measures to address the challenges and reap the benefits of the green and digital transitions.

AmCham Slovakia welcomes efforts of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic for framing Slovakia´s priorities within the Recovery and Resilience Facility and expresses its gratitude for making the Governmental non-legislative material available for commenting.
