AmCham Slovakia

Meeting with the State Secretary of Education

We accepted a kind invitation of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic to meet with the state secretary Slavomír Partila and the director-general Karol Jakubík for a fruitful discussion on areas within the business-academic cooperation.

The topics discussed included:

  • importance of digital transformation of primary and secondary high schools, including the critical role of coordinators of digital competencies and managerial competences of high school directors
  • changing landscape of skills, roles and regional network of school in Eastern Slovakia in regards with the upcoming investors and future jobs being created
  • we also provided our expertise and helping hand to the ministry with professional soft skills trainings for teachers, career counselors and school directors embedded with AmCham´s flagship development program Train the Trainer in seeking ways for scaling of similar initiatives

We are convinced these are critical topics for the future success of Slovakia in ensuring the competitiveness of our country as we remain ready to support the education system on all levels.
