Get ready for:

Imagine a world where 69.7% of cyberattacks target our most crucial infrastructure and a single cyber incident like NotPetya results in global disruptions costing $10 billion. Envision further, a future where AI will add an astonishing $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030, reshaping nearly 40% of global jobs. These scenarios are not speculative, they are today's realities and tomorrow's inevitable challenges. As the pace of digital transformation accelerates, the Festival of Future invites you to engage with the immediate impacts of these developments on our societies, economies, and workplaces. AI is a new megatrend that will define our future on all levels. But what does this mean for businesses and their daily operations? To answer this question, the business environment is represented by the people, the laws and institutions that govern it, and the technology that makes business operations possible. Let’s approach all three areas through a subset of trends in AI implementation.

Imagine a world where the usage of healthcare data and electronic health records, digital tools, telemedicine, and health apps are becoming more prevalent, allowing for better patient care and data-driven decision-making where the rise of the Internet of Medical Things enables patients to actively participate in their own health management. Envision further, wearable devices, remote monitoring, and personalized disease management empower individuals to take charge of their well-being and advances in genomics and precision medicine allow for tailored treatments based on an individual’s genetic makeup. These scenarios are not speculative, they are today's realities and tomorrow's inevitable challenges. Health systems around the globe will face 21st-century challenges such as aging populations, rising costs of health care delivered, challenges of timely access and application of the latest practices, collection, protection, processing, and use of health data, and shortages of skilled workforce. New approaches to healthcare are being applied around the world, with innovative solutions and practices being experimented with. It is up to us how we seize this opportunity and how we will be successful in reforming the Slovak health system, for which reform is essential.

Imagine a world where 76% of global consumers say they would boycott a product or company if they discovered it was not environmentally friendly or sustainable, for example, a world where 66% of global consumers are willing to pay more for sustainable products. Envision further, a future where over 60% of Fortune 500 companies set renewable energy targets, anticipating future regulatory requirements, and a global green economy worth $12 trillion by 2030. These scenarios are not speculative, they are today's realities and tomorrow's inevitable challenges. As the pace of ESG accelerates, the Festival of Future invites you to engage with the immediate impact of these developments on our societies, economies, and workplaces. In 2022, the European Union implemented a directive mandating ESG reporting, marking a pivotal shift towards enhanced transparency and corporate responsibility. This directive introduces new obligations for companies. However, ESG is not just a regulatory burden, it also offers multiple opportunities. It enables companies to openly express their values, demonstrate their approach to corporate responsibility, and distinguish themselves in a competitive landscape.

Imagine a world where 85% of the jobs that will exist in 2030 haven’t been invented yet, and where automation will replace 800 million jobs across the world by 2030. Envision further, a future where over 70% of the global workforce will work remotely at least five days a month. These scenarios are not speculative, they are today's realities and tomorrow's inevitable challenges. As the pace of the Future of Work accelerates, the Festival of Future invites you to engage with the immediate impact of these developments on our societies, economies, and workplaces. The future of work involves adapting to changing job landscapes, technological advancements, and evolving workplace dynamics. Organizations and individuals need to stay agile and prepare for these shifts as technology continues to evolve and companies are embracing digital transformation through designing adaptive and digitally fluent organizations.

Why is this year special for AmCham?

It is the AmCham’s 30th anniversary this year! The official kick-off date when the American Chamber of Commerce was founded in Slovakia was October 27, 1993, but the official approval by the Ministry of Interior came in 1994. At that time, Slovakia was the World's youngest democracy, and only a handful of American companies did business there. How it all started and how it will continue, Let's watch our video to get into the picture:
