We are pleased to inform you that AmCham Slovakia has joined the National Union of Employers (RÚZ), a strategic step that further strengthens our role as a representative of the business community and enhances our impact on shaping Slovakia’s legislative and policy environment.

AmCham has always been committed to advocating for a transparent, predictable, and stable business environment. Joining RÚZ reinforces this commitment by ensuring that your voice is heard even more strongly within the national decision-making process.

RÚZ is part of the Economic and Social Council of the Slovak Republic, an official advisory body to the government. Its tripartite structure provides an important platform for dialogue and consultation between employers, trade unions, and the state, allowing key stakeholders to seek compromise and promote balanced, informed policymaking.

By joining the National Union of Employers (RÚZ), we are strengthening our long-term effort to collaborate with partners who share our vision of Slovakia as a successful, transparent, and competitive country. We believe that by joining forces with RÚZ, we can more effectively promote the common interests of the business community and strengthen the voice of responsible business in shaping Slovakia’s economic policy.

At the same time, this step reinforces our position in the legislative commenting process as part of an officially recognized stakeholder group.

We have long advocated for an open and predictable legislative process that brings stability not only to businesses but to society as a whole. We see this partnership as an important step toward ensuring that the voice of the business community carries greater weight and has a tangible impact on the direction of our country.

AmCham Slovakia’s engagement in legislative and policy matters remains one of our top priorities. Through our committees, task forces, and initiatives such as the Rule of Law Initiative, we actively contribute to shaping proposals, issuing expert opinions, and advocating for policies that improve the overall competitiveness of Slovakia.

This new partnership with RÚZ will allow us to participate more directly in the legislative process, increase our access to early-stage consultations, and provide even more opportunities for our members to influence developments that affect their industries.

While this step strengthens our institutional voice, it does not change what defines AmCham: a thirty-year tradition of professionalism, credibility, and modern approach to addressing key challenges in healthcare, digitalization, sustainability, the labor market, and other areas critical to Slovakia’s future.
