The event is held under the auspices of the Minister of Education,Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Ján HORECKÝ

The  Forum  of  Engineers  and  Technicians  of  Slovakia  (FITS)  is  this  year  organized  by  the   Association   of   Slovak   Scientific   and   Technical  Societies  (ZSVTS)  in  cooperati-on with the Ministry of Education, Science, Research  and  Sport  of  the  Slovak  Repub-lic (MINEDU), the Slovak Space Office, the Slovak  Investment  and  Trade  Development  Agency  (SARIO)  and  the  European  Space  Agency (ESA). The main topic of FITS 2023 is  ESA  Day  in  Slovakia.  The  event  includes  an awards ceremony of the ZSVTS.

The Slovak Republic has recently become an Associate  Member  of  the  European  Space  Agency.  This  Associate  Membership  offers  opportunities  to  transform  Slovak  economy  and develop its innovation potential towards areas with higher added value. It is therefore appropriate to raise awareness on importan-ce of space activities through a specialized event that would also explain Slovak participants benefits of such membership.

This  event  aims  to  provide  opportunities  to  acquire  information  through  expert  contri-butions, share experience and examples of good  practice  from  successful  implementation  of  space  activities  in  Slovakia.  At  the  same  time,  it  also  provides  opportunities  to  exchange  information  and  share  ideas  for  representatives  of  scientific,  research,  technological  and  educational  fields.  Par-ticipation  in  the  conference  would  benefit  all engineers and technicians, researchers, managers,   consultants,   students,   gover-nment  officials  and  all  those  who  are  close  to  science,  technology  and  technical  innovation.
