Building Bridges for a Stronger EU Labour Market | AmCham Meets European Labour Authority

Creating meaningful partnerships starts with open dialogue. On October 13, AmCham Slovakia’s Executive Director Martina Slabejová and Senior Policy Manager Andrea Brezanová met with the Executive Director of the European Labour Authority to exchange insights, align strategic priorities, and explore high-impact collaboration opportunities for 2026–2027.

The meeting highlighted a strong potential for cooperation between the public and private sectors on key labour market challenges:

  • Employment of third-country nationals
  • Labour shortages in Slovakia and across the EU – as outlined in the latest EURES Report on Labour Shortages and Surpluses 2024
  • Encouraging the return of workers to their home countries
  • Promoting labour mobility and circular migration within the EU
  • Digitalisation and the use of regulatory sandboxes to pilot innovative labour tools

AmCham Slovakia is ready to bring the voice of the private sector to the table and contribute meaningful insights to shape a more resilient, inclusive, and future-ready labour market.

We look forward to building bridges and connecting ideas that matter.
