Czech–Slovak Ball 2026: Stars, History, and Shared Values

AmCham Slovakia is a proud partner of the twelfth edition of the Czech–Slovak Ball, which will welcome its guests on 7 February 2026 in the magnificent Art Nouveau spaces of Prague’s Municipal House.

This prestigious event will be held under the patronage of the Presidents of both the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, underscoring its exceptional significance for both nations. The evening’s motto will be “From Heritage to the Future.”

The Czech–Slovak Ball 2026 will once again be interwoven with important historical milestones. Guests will commemorate, among others, Václav Havel, Antonín Dvořák, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Czechoslovak National Bank, and the would-have-been 80th birthday of Edita Gruberová.

Legends of the Czech and Slovak music scenes will take the stage. The headliner of the evening will be Lucie Bílá with Petr Malásek’s band. “I have always been and always will be a Czechoslovak singer. Not only because my father is from Petržalka, but simply because that’s how I feel. I feel at home in Slovakia just as much as I do in the Czech Republic,” says Lucie Bílá, who is greatly looking forward to the ball and is already preparing a special program.

Rock energy will be brought by the legendary Slovak band Tublatanka. “We are thrilled that we were invited to the Czech–Slovak Ball. I’ve been following this ball for a long time, and I’m very happy that we will perform here with Tublatanka. We feel like a Czech–Slovak band,” says Martin Ďurinda of Tublatanka. The band, which plays twice as many concerts each year in the Czech Republic as in Slovakia, emphasizes its strong ties to both countries and the brotherhood between the two nations.

The program will also feature opera diva Adriana Kučerová, Lucia Šoralová with her band, Michal Penk with his band, and the Gustav Brom Radio Big Band with soloists Andrea Zimányiová, Ivana Regešová, and Zuzana Gamboa, accompanied by the string section of the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra. The folklore dimension of the evening will be provided by the Limbora ensemble. The ceremonial evening will be hosted by Lucia Hlaváčková and Saša Rašilov.

“We want to recall the pillars of our shared statehood. Anniversaries are a commitment for us to continue the dialogue that defines our unique Czech–Slovak identity,” explains the ball’s director Radovan Čaplovič. “We have put together the program so that it is a true celebration of the Czech and Slovak music scenes,” adds production director Lumír Mati.

Since 2014, the Czech–Slovak Ball has been held at the Municipal House and over more than a decade has built a reputation as an event that brings together culture, elegance, and friendship. Guests will enjoy its 12th edition on Saturday, 7 February 2026.
