Employment and Social Affairs Committee
The committee provides comments and positions to labor legislation, dealing with the lack of qualified workforce, work security issues and economic migration. It represents views of AmCham members around labor-related legislation, actively drives initiatives towards flexibilization of the Labor Code and mitigates negative effects of the current mismatch between content/form of education and the labor market. Activities and interests of the committee members are flawlessly overlinked with other AmCham skills-development related programs such as the Entrepreneurial Mindset development program in Banská Bystrica or the Career development program in Košice for women from Ukraine.
Main Goals:
- Foster regular dialogue with key decision-makers (the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Family; Central Labor Office, self-governing regions and municipalities)
- Provide platform for sharing best practices among AmCham members
- Active delivery of AmCham skills-development programs
- Flexibilization of the Labor Code
