Advancing a More Competitive Slovakia Together – AmCham Key Policy Topics & Programs in 2026

Down the road in 2026 in advancing a more competitive business environment and wider society in Slovakia, we are delighted to share with you a short overview of key policy topics and programs within AmCham Slovakia committees and working groups.

While the newly elected committee leadership teams assumed their duties at the beginning of the year, competitiveness of Slovakia remains at the top of their agenda. We aim to turn competitiveness from a slogan into a national agenda. As AmCham Slovakia president Martin Maštalír commented on our mission in 2026: “Competitiveness does not emerge by accident. Like growth itself, it requires resilience, long-term care, and a shared vision. It demands cooperation across sectors, openness to new ideas, and the determination to invest in what truly matters. If nurtured consistently, competitiveness allows Slovakia not only to adapt to global change, but to thrive within it.”
